Face Life Without Fear

We are all born with the sad reality of death. With life comes death. It is inevitable. Death is always looming over us, as life must end. So, we need to keep moving and make the most of everyday we are blessed to be alive. Each day we open our eyes is a good day.
It is a sad reality. However, it is the grim reality of the living. Life should be everlasting and we shouldn’t have expiration dates. Nonetheless even though there is nothing we can do to conquer death; we can choose to live each day to the fullest, by giving each other our best. Continue to be the best person you can be, and never be afraid to give all the love you possess.

  1. I don’t find the idea of dying sad; it’s sad when others die and I can no longer enjoy them. Conversely, I wonder what’s on the other side of death, if anything. Either way, as you say, live it like you own it. Cheers

  2. Here is one of my favorite poems; it is by Mary Oliver.

    When death comes
    like the hungry bear in autumn;
    when death comes and takes all the bright coins from his purse

    to buy me, and snaps the purse shut;
    when death comes
    like the measle-pox

    when death comes
    like an iceberg between the shoulder blades,

    I want to step through the door full of curiosity, wondering:
    what is it going to be like, that cottage of darkness?

    And therefore I look upon everything
    as a brotherhood and a sisterhood,
    and I look upon time as no more than an idea,
    and I consider eternity as another possibility,

    and I think of each life as a flower, as common
    as a field daisy, and as singular,

    and each name a comfortable music in the mouth,
    tending, as all music does, toward silence,

    and each body a lion of courage, and something
    precious to the earth.

    When it’s over, I want to say all my life
    I was a bride married to amazement.
    I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

    When it’s over, I don’t want to wonder
    if I have made of my life something particular, and real.

    I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened,
    or full of argument.

    I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world

    1. This resonates with me. Thank you so much for sharing this poem. I’m going to find more of her poems. Would you be ok with me creating a post where I thank you and share the poem? I’d like to open up the opportunity for others to share their favorite poems. Would do you think?

  3. This is so true – I think we should always live life to it’s fullest and live defiantly by staying positive. I suppose death is a “downside” because in a way it’s the negative part of life, but it gives us another reason to smile and keep on doing the things we love until our time on this earth is over (kinda overwhelming to take in or debate about, haha 😉 😛 ).

    I really liked this post – I found it really motivating!
