Don’t Give Up

Who said life was a piece of cake? It isn’t right? Life is fueled by ups and downs. Consistency is rare. We create the consistency we desire.

It is not uncommon that we all go through times in our lives were we feel broken, or shattered, right? We find comfort in the dark, serenity in our own thoughts and peace in silence. Have you experienced that? It hurts to breathe, move, or think. Your body feels weightless and your mind is blank. It’s especially hard to put the pieces back together when you are alone, but this is when you have to search for the strength you never knew you had, and tear apart all the fibers that keep you from it. Release it, and save yourself from disintegrating.

I see people in pain on a daily basis. I hear their whispers and see their tears. I often wish I could absorb their pain, but that’s impossible.

An unfortunate diagnosis can shatter your outlook on life. It can bleed you of your desire to live and destroy hope. Don’t let things you can’t change destroy you. Rather, look for ways to bring light to your darkness. We are in control of the manner in which we expire, not the date we expire. Don’t live with an expiration date in mind. The inevitable is out of our control. So, give your best with each breathe you take.

  1. When you live with chronic pain 24 hours a day 7 days a week for over 30 years, you get “tired” tired of it all tired that you won’t be able to cope much longer, tired that this is it, there is no magic cure at the end. Unless you live with chronic pain you cannot understand, you see what it does to you, your mind is taken up all the time with the pain. I believe in God, I never ask him “why”. More and more drugs are given to you, thats the doctors answers, do they work – simply NO. No offence intended but pretty words don’t help.

    1. I’m sorry you’re going through such a rough time. I appreciate your honesty. Please hang in there and I hope you find comfort in something or someone. I’m here if I can do anything to help. Thanks for responding.
