  1. Hi, I’m pleased to meet you and try out your spicy salmon rub. My husband and I were just talking about some day we need to live somewhere we can fish for salmon regularly:) As for your invitation to say whatever, well, I just started reading ‘The Story of a Brief Marriage’ by Anuk Arudpragasam, a novel about Sri Lanka’s civil war. And now I would rather continue reading blogs than open it for chapter two, because the first was so heavy with childhood anguish. And as for food, to bring it back to your theme, I’d take cooking over baking any day! -Amaya

  2. Hi!! First of all, I love that you are doing that! The reason I started the blog is to create a community and meet people! So that is a very nice way to do that! I have recently started following you because I am really interested in your content! My passion is cooking and travelling! My blog contains these topics, of course, but it also contains more lifestyle topics! I like also like chit -chating! :p Finally, I live in Europe, but the USA and Japan are in my bucket list! 3. LOL – all these questions! This is why I write a blog; it’s all there – other than what I am reading at the moment, which is a collection of Krampus stories, and 100 days of Solitude.

  4. Welllllll my new favorite go-to dessert is a homemade chocolate cake. My Italian grandmother was the BEST cook and I always remember her whipping up homemade breads and cakes. She used to call box mixes “cheater cakes”. When I successfully baked my first NON-cheater cake, I knew Grammy was smiling down on me from Heaven. πŸ˜‡ and my passions…? Faith, Family, and Friends… and of course, adoption…. 😍😍😍 https://crazyloveparents.com/2015/01/17/how-do-you-do-it/

  5. Hi Trav, I am an avid camper and love to go fishing and crabbing on our Oregon Coast property on the Siletz River here in the US each year. It’s an RV property with a boat ramp and a dock available, and we keep a boat out there each year. My husband recently finished smoking the salmon he caught a few months ago that we had frozen, and we’ll be making a smoked salmon mousse out of some of it for a Christmas Eve party as well as a crab and artichoke dip out of the crab we caught and froze on the same trip. This is a post about that trip, not sure if you ever saw it: https://anotherfoodieblogger.wordpress.com/2016/10/08/the-return-of-the-klutz-and-a-tasty-veggie-soup/

Other than that, on my bucket list is a trip to New Zealand to see the fjords, I’ve dreamed of that all my life! But during the work week my real job is a geeky Software Business Analyst at a utility software development company.

  6. Hello Trav, I really like how, although your blog is about food, that you elevated to something more intimate, by opening up the dialogue to getting to know one and another better. It’s perfect now that I think about it. What’s better than good food and a conversation. You have created all the ingredients for a great meal. There is my blog of course, which you are following and have been reading and kindly commenting on.
apatientvoice.com – of course, the blog is just slices of me, but over time I think we’ll get a better sense of what we are all about. For now, it’s about getting through Christmas. I have to make dessert tomorrow (the 24th) to bring to the family Christmas dinner on the 25th. I think I’ll scout through your recipes and make something in your honour. Peace, Harlon & have a joyful and delicious Christmas and a brilliant 2017 full of laughter and good health.
