Cherish Your Happiness

Hey everyone, I hope you’re cooking, painting, writing, or doing whatever it is that puts a smile on your face.

This week was a rough week for me, but I’ve decided not to allow anyone to cause me to lose my joy in life. Life is too short, and way too unpredictable to allow people to tear you down. Often times the people who try to suffocate us are doing so because our existence reminds them of how unhappy, and unfulfilled their lives are. Do not give these individuals a second look. They are irrelevant, if they don’t contribute to your happiness.

If you are surrounded by people that make you unhappy, please know that this is not acceptable. We all deserve to feel accepted, appreciated, and dignified. So, take steps to change the group of people that surrround you, or your mindset toward them.

Spring cleaning doesn’t just refer to our homes. Take out time to clean out those in your life that strangle your joy, and cause you pain. A famous person once said ” Life is too short to start your day with broken pieces of yesterday, it will definitely destroy your wonderful today and ruin your great tomorrow.” Please join me in beginning this week by not carrying around dead weight, people who stifle our passions, and potential to be happy. You are more special than you think. Our differences make us unique. They are like the colors used to paint; each one combines with another to bring to life a masterpiece. Accept others, and yourself.

  1. Great post! I know what you mean about having a bad week. I’d say it’s been a bad year here! Lol. Here’s to better weeks ahead! Not sure if you’re religious or not but praying is starting to help me little by little.
