Fall is my favorite season . It’s a time of change, and renewal. Plants, trees, and animals are preparing for winter, and so are we. Everyone has something special that they do during this part of the year.
I look forward to apple picking, baking pies and cakes, and family campfires. I think I make at least one pumpkin pie each week, during fall. It’s the perfect way to end a meal. Plus, my family is obsessed with pumpkin. We have recipes for pumpkin oatmeal, porridge, soup, bread pudding, cake, and ice cream shake. So, as you can see its better to get to pumpkin patch before we show up.
Also, it’s a time where my house is filled with the fragrant perfume of cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, and nutmeg. Sometimes I boil cinnamon sticks in water and allow the scent to fill the house. Then it’s time to relax by the window with hot apple cider, and a good book.
What are some of your fall traditions, and is there anything you look forward to baking during this season?
