Teriyaki Steak and Rainbow Carrots

To make this dish you’ll only need 30 mins, or less. Buy a nice piece of fresh steak. Season the steak with some garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and a dash of Steak Seasoning. Let your taste buds guide the amount of Seasoning you use. I used a tsp of each. Put the steak a side and cut a few carrots, 1/2 of an onion, 5 garlic cloves, 2 small red potatoes and 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger. Then put enough oil in a saucepan pan to coat the bottom of the pan and let the pan heat for a few minutes.

When the pan is hot you are going to gently place your steak, or steaks in the pan and brown each side for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes on each side, add the vegetables and spices you diced. Let everything brown until the onions have caramelized. Finally mix 1/4 of a cup of good quality Teriyaki Sauce with 1/2 Cup of Beef Broth. Add some salt to satisfy your desired taste, and cover the pan. Allow the food to simmer until the potatoes are tender and the gravy has thickened.

I would serve this with some rice, couscous, or noodles. Enjoy! Remember you are in charge of adjusting the recipe to suit your taste buds. Take the idea and make it work for you, and your family. This is how you will develop your culinary skills as self taught chefs.
