A few weeks ago I had to whip together a quick meal for four friends. I didn’t have much time but I think I did a pretty good job.
First, I boiled some pasta. When it was al dente, I added a few tablespoons of butter, grated Parmesan Cheese, and 1 tsp of black pepper. Next I seasoned a few pieces of chicken with Herb Ox Chicken Bouillon seasoning, black pepper, cayenne pepper and a dash of dried Basil. After that I coated each piece of chicken in a flour mixture( garlic powder, onion powder, and all-purpose seasoning) and I put the coated pieces in the refrigerator for about 10 mins. While they were in the refrigerator I heated some oil in a frying pan.
I fried the chicken until each piece was a golden color, and the juices ran clear. Then I tossed the hot chicken in a mixture made of ketchup, hot sauce, and a dash of Korean BBQ sauce.
Finally, I chopped up some cabbage, broccoli, and collard greens. I sauteed the vegetables in some olive oil and seasoned them with a dash of salt and pepper. After the veggies were done, it was time to eat. This meal came together very quickly and was created on the spot without any forethought, or planning. Nonetheless I developed a tasty, yet simple recipe .
